Spinach Ohitashi (Green Day)

First of all, thank you SO much for all of your kind words in my last post. You all are so sweet♡♡♡ Although I'm not fully recovered, starting to feel better and better.

This dish is called "ほうれん草のお浸し, Hourenso no Ohitashi" in Japanese; spinach dipped in soy sauce base soup. It is sort of reminiscing that I watched "Popeye the Sailor" when young; and my mother tried to persuade me to have vegetables. It is my wonder how you cook spinach in western recipe.

I would like to introduce one of the recipes how we cook it in Japan. I made it for yesterday's lunch.  I'm really sorry for my bad pictures as usual. I hope it looks tasty as it was.   (I'll be linking this post to Green Day hosted by Raindrops and Daisies)
I hope that it won't be the problem "food" for green day, (^^;)

This is the way how I cook this dish.
I hope this might help give you a little idea of it.

of course, we boil it first

we grind sesame seeds and put them on it,
which add the good flavor for this dish

source made by powdered soup stock, soy source, cooking sake, sugar

dried bonito is also put on it for the finishing touch

I really am grateful for your kind words, my sweet friends
I hope marvelous weekend is waiting for all of you!
